Review: L'Oreal Elvive Nourish & Shimmer Highlights Shampoo and Conditioner

Afternoon again kittens,

I have another review to dish out :)

Naturally I have dark blonde hair almost mousy brown, my skin is too pale to go darker so I made the decision last year to go blonder but cunningly with highlights, going lighter and lighter each time I have them re-done.

The genius of having naturally dark blond hair is when my highlights grow out slightly you cant really notice the difference :) But thats not to say I am lazy.

I have tried John Frieda's Blonde option shampoos and conditioner, and I was not overly struck by them.

I have also tried V05's selection of blonde shampoos and conditioner, and was more impressed than John Freida.

Introducing L'Oreal Elvive Nourish and Shimmer Highlights Shampoo and Conditioner.

What The Company Say:

The brightness of your highlights can fade. To keep them looking their best, you need a specific, targeted care, for touchably soft hair and bright, illuminated shine.

L’Oreal Paris has created its first nourishing conditioner enriched with Royal Jelly and Brighteners that provides specific, targeted care for highlighted hair.

L’Oreal Paris has created its first nourishing conditioner enriched with Royal Jelly and Brighteners that provides specific, targeted care for highlighted hair.

My Opinion:

The scent of this shampoo and conditioner collection reminds me of Milk and Honey, and is a welcome change from the usual scent of Lemon and Camomile which alot of blonde shampoo and conditioner collections carry.

The shampoo lathers very quickly and easily worked into the hair, and full of scent. The conditioner is creamy and instantly glided through my hair, I left the conditioner on for about 3 mins and combed it through, then rinsed my hair through.

I blow dry my hair rather than letting it dry naturally as I am quite impatient, with other blonde products that I have used on my hair leave it tangled and sometimes matted, but with L'Oreal I was able to comb through my hair after I had towel dried it without much effort.

Price: £2.45 each in Boots :) 5/5

Packaging: Clean Lines, I was able to tell the difference between the shampoo and conditioner easy. Also the way the bottles are designed when they were near emptying it was easy to get the rest of the products out. 5/5

Product: I shall be buying this again was very impressed 5/5

On a side note, for something alittle different go check out Beauty Judge, its home to review on beauty products from Highstreet to Highend. You can win free products and meet some great people on their who share the same love for Beauty Hair and Fashion:

P.S. I was not approached by L'Oreal for this review nor was I given the products by the company :)

Snow Day

Good afternoon petals, Today in my little part of Britain it is a complete white out :)

Where I live is no where near as beautiful as this, but it is very snowy and fresh.

I cant get to the hospital to go to work so I thought I should revel in the snow :)

Spring Clean

Indeed by the title it is apparent I am having a spring clean in room.

I have problems with cleaning my room, its not that I am awfully messy, it is that when I do partake in the cleaning activity, I find items I may have misplaced or forgot I had. Today this has happened to me :)

I told you in an earlier post that I have a small journal/diary type book I recieved for Christmas

Not as pretty as those above its quite simple.

I have a some tasks to complete for 2010
well tasks is the wrong title to use, places I would like to venture to.

There you go just a small insight

Wishlist: February

Hello Petals,

As you can tell, I have quite a bit of free time on my hands. My neice jessica is 11 months old and is keeping herslef amused with her activity table and America's Next Top Model.............ok thats on for my amusement, but she loves it too so everyone is happy :)

At the moment in the sparkly world beauty and fashion there is so much I want, but as usual with my student wages I can not afford everything that I want. TYPICAL!

Valentines day is on its way round, maybe I could treat myself, or be treated ;-p
Marc Jacobs Lola

This as well as Nina Ricci's Ricci Ricci, was on my Christmas List, but Santa decided Nina Ricci would be more deserving. So I am still eagerly waiting for this................Valentines Day anyone!?

Disney Couture Alice in Wonderland Wrap Bracelet

For along time I have wanted this, and its very fitting dont you think, I have a sneaky feeling a family member has purchased one as a present, cant let too much away :)

Urban Decay: Alice Palette

Ok so Alice seems to be a running theme, I want baaaaaad! (no more alice now I promise xx)

Essie
  • Watermelon - A refreshing juicy deep peach

Something Alittle Different

Last Night I could not sleep for the life of me, and this morning I had to be up early to babysit my neice Jessica. But anyways last night I needed to find something to do other than "count sheep".

I was flicking through pictures of this years Grammy Awards, I came across a picture of Lady GaGa:

Does anyone think this is alittle toned down for the Lady of GaGa?
I actually quite like it in a strange fairytale way, the intricacies and design of the dress. Who designed the dress I hear you ask? Armani PrivĂ© thats who.

According to the Telegraph, Armani Privé was inspired by the Sky at Night for his Haute Couture Collection of Spring/Summer 10.

Lets take a look at some of Lady GaGa's wackier ensembles :)

Only she could pull off right?

So what do you think Lady GaGa's most eccentric garments are?

Must get back to the small infant now

Love Love

Review: Neutrogena Deep Clean 2-in-1 Invigorating Wash and Mask

What Neutrogena say:
NEUTROGENA Deep Clean® Invigorating 2-in-1 Wash and Mask works in two ways to cleanse deep into pores and leave your skin feeling refreshed and invigorated. Use as a cooling daily wash to remove dirt, oil and make-up or as a weekly mask to experience the fresh sensation as the clay formula cleanses deep into pores without overdrying.

What I Think:
I purchased this product when I last had a breakout, and was in desperation on what to do. I purchased this from Sainsbury's Supermarket, for approx £3-4 as I think it had money off.
I shower every morning, so I added this to my routine. The product is a blue almost clay like substance that is smooth, I applied it to a wet face and almost instantly I felt the cooling products of the menthol that is an ingrediant within this cleansing wash as well as salicylic acid.

I noticed after using this wash my face was left smooth, and less shiny. After 2 weeks I had next to no breakouts, I am so so pleased

What is your go to cleanser?

~*December/January*~

As you all probably know I have not posted in a long time because of University and silly things. I thought I would give you a run down on what I have been doing and getting up to.

Christmas came and went so fast but I recieved some lovely treats from family and friends :) particulary a little journal/notebook I have written some ideas in that I shall elborate on with you.

New Years Eve was celebrations all round where I bumped into some old friends I lost contact with, we have rekindled our friendship <3

January involved myself relising that some extra weight had appeared round my stomach, most probably from those lovely cupcakes my friends had bought round to feast on :)

I joined the gym (NYE resolution shift the cupcake love)

It was my birthday in January right at the end to be exact.......well sort of.
